“We are GLS”: launch of recruitment marketing campaign
- Employer brand: GLS introduces itself
- A focus on employees and roles
- Cinema ad
Neuenstein, 14 January 2020. Parcels are at the heart of logistics. A parcel can only get from A to B with the help of numerous dedicated people – both in front of, and behind, the scenes. With its recruitment marketing campaign, GLS is shining a light on the daily work routine in the parcel logistics sector – and appealing to new employees.
The “We are GLS” campaign is putting people and professions centre stage who work behind the scenes on a day-to-day basis. GLS is using real employees – who present their work in an authentic and appealing manner – for all the campaign’s materials. As such, potential applicants are given an initial insight into the diverse and interesting range of roles, as well as the working atmosphere at the company.
In early January, a GLS short film – “The journey of a parcel” – was launched as a cinema commercial. GLS consciously chose to premiere the film at the cinema in Bad Hersfeld, the town situated in direct proximity to the company’s head office in Neuenstein. The film can also be watched on the company’s social media channels and the GLS careers website.
Further current and upcoming campaign materials include ads in online/print media and on banners, digital displays and trams, as well as stands at numerous trade fairs.
“Parcel logistics offers a wide array of interesting roles. We therefore regard authentic insights into our day-to-day work as the best way to get skilled and young workers interested in, and excited by, our company,” remarks Martin Seidenberg, Chairman of the GLS Germany Management Board. “At the same time, we are showing our appreciation for our existing employees, who do great things every single day.”
